Feldspar


Product Description


The Feldspar group is a fairly large group with nearly 20 members recognized, but only nine are well known and common. Those few, however, make up the greatest percentage around %60 of minerals found in the Earth's crust.

Feldspar is an Alumna Silicate containing K, Na or Ca.

Industrially there are two main types of Feldspar:
One of them called Potash Feldspar (K-Spar) with K2O ranged from %7-13.

The other is Sodic Feldspar (Na-Spar) with Na2O ranged from %8-11.

Feldspar is mainly used in glass industries and ceramic, as a functional filler and extender in paints, plastics, and rubber industries, in porcelain industries and glazes.

Central Desert Mining Company owns feldspar mine  in the eastern desert of Egypt.

Our mine is located in Rod aloqah, Marsa Allam and produce two high grades of feldspar.

 

 

We also have the ability to grind and crush the ore and processing it in our factory into smaller sizes suitable to all industries according to customers' needs.
